Today I am comparing two different Sperry Top-Sider’s that I believe are in the same category when it comes to style. The two products that are up to bat are… The BLUEFISH 2 EYE LINEN for women, and the ANGELFISH BLUSH/OAT for women. Both shoes are loafers or deck shoes, and both styles are EXTREMELY cute…so ladies, heed caution, because I’m about to blow your mind with boat shoes.

1. BLUEFISH 2 EYE – LINEN (MSRP $78.95)

This loafer is preppy and classic looking, with a bit of updated flair. On the heel and sides of the shoe, there is a bronze material which gives the shoe some spunk. If you’re looking for a shoe that breathes and is reliable, this is definitely the shoe for you!

Here are some key things I found when wearing this style:

-Decent padding..I could definitely walk around in this all day
-This seems like a legitimate boat shoe..I mean yeah, it’s called a “boat shoe”, but most now are just for looks, although this really IS a shoe you could wear on a sailboat.
-My foot feels very secure and locked in place due to the large toe-box
-Strong leather laces that can be made into bows or curly-cues
-2 sets of eyelets

2. ANGELFISH BLUSH/OAT – (MSRP $74.95)

Right off the bat this shoe feels and looks more feminine in comparison to the BLUEFISH. The pink gives it a more dressy than casual look. In case you were to snazz up your outfit, you could pull it off with this shoe. This style would look ADORABLE with a white pair of linen cropped pants. My findings on this style:

-WAY more padding in this style…a lot more comfortable.
-Smaller toe-box though, my foot feels like it could easily slip out. I have a wide foot so this could become an issue for me when wearing this shoe.
-This shoe’s materials seem just as sturdy and durable as the BLUEFISH materials, although the ANGELFISH materials just seem to be softer and more wearable.
-This shoe has one set of eyelets
-The ANGELFISH style is less breathable than the BLUEFISH.

CONCLUSION:

Honestly, both of these shoes seem pretty great. For both styles, the pros outweigh the cons. It really depends on what activities you’re looking to participate in when it comes to picking the right style for you. The ANGELFISH is more girly and padded, while the BLUEFISH possesses a more classic look that is perfect for any preppy gal. All in all, these are two great styles of shoes and I would definitely wear both.
